I've watched Widnes since the mid 70's and there has been rivalry which has gone much too far at times but to hold that against a man who has had bugger all to do with what idiots get up to off the pitch escapes me.
He is our coach and for all we know he is/was the best qualified and experienced applicant out there. It is his job to make us perform so it is up to us to back him and wish him every success.
Get over it, bin your sad grudges and get behind the club as Paul Cullen is now part of it - end of!

It's a quote Paul Cullen gave to Radio Merseyside on his appointment as Wdines head coach. He was talking about walking through the Widnes trophy cabinet. I think he means that, as a Warrington player, he won very little and that Widnes have won a lot more.

You can't get away from the thick retards on here either.
You'd think we'd appointed Ian Brady with Myra Hindley as his assistant.
You either support the club or you don't. If you don't then just F*** Off and let the rest of us back the new coach, for better or for worse.
Simples

Xenophobia towards a man born no more than 6 miles away from your beloved town... It doesn't get much more bizarre.

It's the total over reaction, particularly on the TIW board, to Cullen's appointment. I didn't want Cullen, but now he's here good luck to him.
There have been people sobbing over their poor relatives who've played for Widnes and regard this as some sort of f******g insult to them, and people threatening not to go a game until Cullen has gone.
The bottom line of your post is all that matters. If this doesn't happen over the next two years I'll be vexed off with him too. But for now give the man a chance. If you do, then my post is not meant for you.

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”
There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back! Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!
