Granted, there is far more regular trouble at football matches. I've seen trouble at Manchester United, Bolton (Burnden Park), Bury, Wigan (Springfield Park), Wembley, Millenium Stadium and a few others. I've also been in Manchester, Bury, London and Cardiff and seen trouble on the streets involving football fans. It's so common it doesn't make the news.

Fan trouble on any scale above a scuffle at a RL match is a very, very rare event and we can be proud of that. Unfortunately a consequence of our success means that when it does happen it's big news. Still, I know whch sport I'd rather follow.
