Should Eastwood fail to materialise.....

..... an experienced centre wouldn't go amiss. Yesterday showed what the current 2-5 could look like if Senior gets crocked. It weren't a pretty sight.

They weren't that bad tvoc and when you consider we had gibson and watkins against gleeson and king i thought they did well.

Two of the young and inexperienced centres in SL in Gibson and Watkins against two of the most experienced in SL in Gleeson and King, they did extremely well together against the opponents that they had to play against IMO

If Warrington had been able to hold the ball and/or played a bit more expansively I'm afraid they'd have been overrun. But then we will have Smith in there when Webb returns. How he adjusts to defending in the centre's could be interesting though.

Anything stopping Eastwood coming over here in the meantime just to train or meet the guys??
Where do you think we are going to get an experienced centre from seeing as the season is only a few weeks old?

Leeds won a game they should have lost against a team without a win.

Who have Leeds signed to replace Toopi? Why did Leeds strengthen the second row where they already had depth?

Senior has missed two from five at this point. I'd hate that to become the norm.

If the Eastwood deal falls through (and if they decide to enter the market for a replacement) I hope they bolster the team where it needs it rather than where it doesn't.

Out of interest, how long ago is it since he got turned down? Is it over a month now?

We were told when it was refused that he had appealed and that he would hear the outcome in a month.

Just wondering.

IIRC GH said the outcome of the appeal will hopefully take a month.

But we are the Champions, with expectations (not hopes) to retain the title a 3rd time. It does make you realise how good a job Ablett did last year when we miss him in the backs. I would imagine that we tried to replace Toopi but I guess there are so few quality centres around these days that the good ones can demand big money (too big for us I guess).
