Thats my point. I dont think bringing these 3 in would weaken the team at all. I would have thought they'd have been in most peoples 1st 17s prior to the season starting ahead of the likes of Netherton and Lovegrove. My point is that they will definately be needed at some point during the season and this is the best oppurtunity to give them that. Its not about resting oyher players, its about getting these guys up to speed.

I've got no objection to those players being included - if it is done to give us the best chance of winning. If it is even partly just to 'give them a run out', I would think it very unwise. I understand your point and if Celtic were shipping 60+ points every week, I'd agree. Celtic aren't too far away from winning a game IMO, and its important Rovers do everything to make them wait a little longer and build some momentum of their own.

Until we are as good as Leeds or Saints, it has to be one game at a time, again IMO. Gene, Wheeldon and Mills will all get games on merit, I'm sure. Possibly against Celtic, in which case we are arguing about nowt.

I think a certain amount of squad rotation would be a good thing, otherwise guys like Wheeldon are not going to be match fit when called upon. No disrespect to Celtic Crusaders but we should bring these guys in now rather than bring them in cold against Warrington.

I would introduce one or two to the bench rather than make wholesale changes, you can't distrupt the team to much, but you have to give the fringe players a chance.

I would include Stan and Scot for this one for Neth and Fitzy, must keep all our pack 1st team and fringe playing together as much as possible so we are ready when the injuries do happen.
