I can see where you are coming from, after all there was no evidence of team bonding tonight was there?

So by your reasoning that the evidence of team bonding tonight must show solidarity in the dressing room, clearly supports the fact that when it has not been there for the last 4 games he has lost the dressing room?

Its not always black and white, enjoy the performance and the victory i know i am, long may it continue.

Good.

Enjoy realising that you were wrong.

So, you still don't think the players are behind him?

Ignore the rest of the post. 1 game proves nothing simply that we seem to turn a corner, lets hope it is not going to lead to more disappointment.

I expect a performance against Leeds as we usually do, but it will take more than 1 game to prove Noble is the right man for the job to make us into a team capable of being serious challengers for a trophy.

By your reasoning 4 weeks i am right to be critical, then 1 week i should be saying he is a guru then the next poor performance slating him again. It does not work like that, that would just be stupid, all tonight gave us was optomism for the future, something we have seen on several occasions in the past lets just hope its not another false dawn.

Claiming who is right and wrong is a very stupid statement after 1 performance, that can only be judged at the time Noble leaves the club, we all have opinions and long may they be aired.

I have no idea, i never said they were certainly against him, i said it looked like they were not happy under him, i never said he has definately lost the dressing room, i simply said it looked that way, tonight it looked different which was great, but again we saw this a few times last year, lets just see if it continues prior to judging.

Not at all.

I (and others) have said all along that Noble's record speaks for itself.

We have also said that, given the above, he should not be judged 3 weeks into a season.

We have nothing to prove, his record proves everything.

It's posters such as yourself, who have been making outrageous claims, that have everything to prove.

Frankly they are unsubstantiated and not worthy of reading.

In fairness, we were never that clinical in attack last year. We didn't have the tools (namely Higham!).

The side clearly played as thy had trained this week, kudos to Nobby for putting Sam in and dropping Smith. A decision based on form, good to his word the man.

What outrageous unsubstantiated claims have i made? I challenge you to find them.

I was thinking Brian Noble had been at Wigan for going on 3 years not 3 games (actually 4).

Seems to me the Noble supporters are simply easily pleased and have short memories given the false dawns we have already had, which is interesting given there use of "history" to try to justify there stance.

I dearly dearly hope Brian Noble is the Wigan coach for the next 5 years, but his teams have to do it, as yet they have failed to do this which is why i do not think he is the man for the job.

Clearly you do. Hence your post:

jonh wrote:To be honest whenever i hear his interviews i get that impression anyway, he seems to think if he talks for long enough, and throws in the odd turn of phrase and quip people will think of him as a cridible coach, most of the time he just ends up talking rubish in my opinion. If as you say he takes this approach with the players then i am not suprised we perform as we have for the last 2 years and counting.

Want me to post some more of your contradictions? Best not eh?

Noble's team selection was spot on.
Sticking with Tommy & Sam at half back was right.
Bringing in McIlorum with Piggy was right.
Noble's after match comment about the spine of the team being good was exactly it.
Bar injury can't see him changing that line up for Leeds.
So much has changed and improved this year so far.
Pat at FB is solid and he's doing the long distance field kicking.
We have speed and pose a threat on both wings.
Both half backs have quick hands and feet and are hard to put down. They are both fast off the ground for a quick ptb.
Bearing in mind how poor Bradford were, they really missed Lynch, Langley & Solomona plus they lost Newton and Godwin during the game.
Leeds will be a whole lot different but this win should give the players the confidence boost they need.
