Tonight put a smile on my face, some of the rugby took me back to the easter period last year when Leeds blew Bradford and Hull away. Although you were against a very poor team, part of the reason they were poor was because Wigan were outstanding.

Riddell - Comments on here seemed to have been a little negative over the last couple of weeks on here. Came out tonight and was excellent

Tomkins - Superb, great talent. I was shouting GO ON when he put the grubber kick through picked it up and gave it to Leulaui. It would have been in contention for try of the season.

Leuluai - The more I see him the more I think he's a hooker, played excellently from dummy half tonight.

Hock - Some of the offloads, the quick hands was just amazing. If he puts his head to it he can be one of the best 2nd rowers in the UK.

Bailey - Has improved your right hand side defence. Not the best going forward but does his job.

Agree with your summary. Hopefully we can keep this up and if we do take this form into next week, I think it'll be an outstanding match.

I also agree, but Feka, Carmont and Fielden also are due mentions.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

TBH the whole team performed, 1-17 were fantastic.

Good stuff mate and a blue to boot if we beat the boro tomorrow a perfect weekend.

Whatever happened to Billy McGinty's pineapple?

"unless you hit it directly at Paul Wellens, it's several minutes before he'll arrive at the ball." Saddened

"I'm done. Brown out. If LMS, Turner or Walker get in any match day squad i will not be attending from now on in." LFC Saint

Everyone knew we had that ability, the trouble was no-one believed the team could play at those levels shown tonight.

I'm glad to see Noble sticking to his word and picking players on form, and it's already providing dividends. It's clear everyone picked thier game up to avoid being dropped - therefore Noble must have really enforced his stance.

For the first time in a long time we have players actually fighting for thier first team shirt. No longer is it that just because you have a first team starting number ie. Tim Smith that he is automatically picked.

I'll be there! Missing Leeds for it, but it's a quarter final and we haven't beem this far since 2002, been to the derbies and the Villa games so why stop now.

Very credible post :thumb: Bailey hasnt been mentioned too much along with Amos Roberts, Shaun Ainscough and Joel Tomkins but they were all just so solid.. Besta luck to your Team(s) today mate

A purple patch inspired on his home ground by man of the match WIGAN CAPTAIN Sean O’Loughlin produced three tries in an eight-minute spell just before half-time, and the GB Lions added two more after the break to maintain Smith’s 100 per cent record as Great Britain
coach.

Sat 27th April 2002 St Helens 12 Wigan 21 Edinburgh - Sat 4th May 2002 Celtic 2 Rangers 3 Glasgow (Carlsberg dont do weeks, but if they did.....)
