What a joy to watch.

Long may it continue.

A Wigan lad playing with heart (and more than a little skill).

Fantastic stuff.

Excellent performance from young Sam. Solid in defence (seem to remember him hanging on to someone's leg solidly after they'd broken through), good kicking game - found the gaps for players to hit, plus a nice little dink & gather, and good distribution, and I think he puts an element of doubt in the opposition's minds - will he pass, jink, kick, turn?? Passion, effort, skill and application in bucketloads.

One moment of frustration though when he bombed a certain try on 22 mins, made a cracking break on the right off Joel and chose not to draw the fullback & pass to a screaming Richards down the middle, but go for the corner himself.

But we can let that slide seeing as he's not shaving yet and that was his first SL start, and he's been bloody fantastic.

Surely Ainscough should be in with a shout as well as we dont produce good wingers either.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever

Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go

It's on the up really.
Look at all the youngsters that have been given a chance so far:

Tomkins
Ainscough
Watkins
Allen
McShane
Dixon
Armstrong
Wheeler
Frodsham
Briscoe
Welham

etc

Was it more than 5 yards out? If so it's a better try than any Ade Gardner try.

There's an article in League Weekly where Gardner says:

I wish I could play along side Gidley until he was 50

I'm sure you wish he could play for England too Ade, so you don't get shown up as the cr*p player that you are

So true he is not our best winger he is just with the world best centre.
