What a shocker! I was gunna take my 4 year old lad today thank god our jo took him to a adventure park! 2 mins after kick off i could sense there was going to be trouble so did my fellow fans around me, Why on earth was there only 10 stewards there? and worse still sell the mindless idiots beer? This has got to be the first time at a game i have felt unsafe so did the poor old lady sat at side of me who was crying her eyes out scared to death! We wouldn't go to St Helens and act like this, Have a few jars yes! sing songs and have harmless banter but i suppose this is what true Rugby fans do! The RFL need to kick this club out of all competitions asap.

Well...what a memorable game.
I went down to the Queens end (unknowingly) expecting to see points scored by the Dons. When after a short time all that took my attention was some Queens supporter arguing at twenty metres with a WOMAN.
Fair play to her she gave as good as she got.
I don't now what kicked it off....but he wouldn't leave it and he was old enough to know better.
She moved away eventually with her friends....and I said to two stewards that passed that they ought to sort him out.....nothing happened.
It was festering, bubbling and boiling.
The stewards got them to sit down....but only briefly. They rushed forward with every Queens attack and there they stayed banging on the hoardings, intimidating, threatening.
By the time steward intervention happened, police were needed. By the time police intervened...riot police were needed.
They tried to placate them...big mistake, and that's why firm stewarding should not be criticised.
Queens should forfeit the tie and action against Queens should be taken.
There should be no recrimination against the Dons.
On the field Queens were good...but they incited the crowd which was unforgivable.
They were also dirty at times. How Handforth wasn't crippled I don't know. They scythed him twice with trips.
The best thing that happened was that the game was abandoned....even though I would have liked to see it played out... the potential for more disorder was rife.

There was a thread, I think, on the Leeds board last year about the animals who inhabit Queens. Even Clayton from Bradford were worried enough to call the game off with them.

the most shocking thing I have ever witnessed at a Rugby League game, the behaviour of the Queens fans was thuggish and damn right dispicable. The Queens team were Head Hunting our players in attack but when they had the ball in had they played some superb Rugby. The Stewards were out numbered and some of them were assaulted. The RFL need to take action and make an example out Of Queens as a warning to other Clubs that these actions will not be tolorated.
Those Queens fans must have spent a fortune on Beer.

I'm very sorry to hear about this. I went to watch Widnes St Maries v Queens a few weeks ago and wasn't too impressed with some of the Queens supporters.
At that game, a St Maries player was sent off and as he headed towards the changing rooms, a Queens supporter ran at him with a glass in his hand. Other Queens fans ran across the field of play to join in the melee.
Not what you usually get at amateur games. A shame for your supporters and the decent supporters of Queens.

However, having said that, had the stewards kicked the offending fans out then I think the rest would have kicked off big time and there was not enough stewards in place to deal with a situation of that magnitude. The Police should have been called earlier.
Regarding the thug who smacked the young lad, I hope he gets the book thrown at him. The lad did nothing. He was just walking by and the idiot took a swipe at him then he tried to attack the heavily pregnant woman who was trying to protect the lad. A BRAVE MAN INDEED.
The Stewards were similarly impotent at the Fev game.

No, it's not.
The Dons pay rent (I presume) to play at the Keepmoat, so therefore it is the responsibility of the stadium management to provide and enforce stewarding to prevent events such as this from occurring.
