At that time though, I think your club were the leaders in terms of marketing across the whole Rugby League in this country and the protocol for the reformation of Bradford from "Northern" to "Bulls.

to me and lots of people around huddersfield , we will always be known as 'fartown' even though more young people refer to us as the giants i think to most people we will always be fartown

And I think most Leeds fans do refer to us as the Rhinos now. I know most people around Leeds (non fans too) always go by the nickname. Rhinos is one that has worked well though IMO.

Oh and the OP said Saints dont have one but they didnt need one. They are the Saints. It would have been silly to add a name to them.


A bit like Trin. But I don't know how coming out between an inflatable Jesus' legs would look. However Daddy Cool could have been a better mascot!

Didn't Halifax originally want the name Bombers ,but were refused as it was thought "insensitive" ?
