oh well, i guess good teams get dragged down to a lower level at times

Very true mate. We've played some good rugby against the top teams this year so far. Playing you teams from the bottom last season makes it hard for our boys to lift ourselves i suppose!!

yes, it must've been galling for you losing last night, after beating bradford away, stuffing the french in their own backyard, pushing the mighty saints to the wire, you must've been expecting a walkover!!
the scoreline didn't reflect the game, 1-17 man to man we won in every department

I was expecting a very good game due to both our starts this season. Unfortunately we didn't play anything like we have done but i'm guessing you've also played alot better than that this season.

we have, and we still have room for improvement, 4 from 4 while not hitting top form is a good sign

Despite the eventual score line, I think anybody watching would say that we were never really in any trouble. If there is fault to throw at us it is that we didn't kill the game by moving up a gear and perhaps taking our gas of the peddle once we knew we had won in the last few minutes. The score line didn't reflect Hull's dominance. That said, I don't think we were quite as good as we was against Catalans.
Saying that, I don't think Hudds fans have to much to worry about, things didn't come off last night, but you could clearly see the potential, creativity and desire that won you the game at Bradford.

It's a very good sign. Just don't do a Wakey and turn crap when all your 'good' players come back. They tend to play better when under strength.
