I wonder if the 2 having a dig at him actually saw him limping at Hull after 5 mins And then returning on the Hour mark playing on 1 leg as no-one else could go back on?? Did they Know for a Fact he missed the last couple of days of training in Lanzarote due to the Ankle Injury and that's why he missed the Leigh game.
Can't say I have been over impressed "So Far" but I have seen glimpses with each passing week to know (Like With Richards) that there is something in there worth persevering with.
Too many good judges have seen a lot of him in the NRL and think he will go great and to write him off after 4 x games (TBH it was 1 game actually as Riddell didn't fit in with their Pro Mickey Anti Nobby & IL Agenda) is absolutely ludicrous!

Everybody bashing Riddell at the moment wants to get a grip. What were people expecting?
So he doesn't scoot and make the yards and breaks like Higham did. He also doesn't give away the penalties or make the errors that Higham did. More importantly, our distribution at dummy half is twice as good.
As long as he shows progression in his performances, he'll do for me.

I thought that myself.
I'm backing Riddell all the way to come good but his passing from dummy half so far has been nothing special and theres been a few mix ups woth his runners.
Phil Bailey is a good player. You don't play State Of Origin or go Tour with the Aussie test team if you are not a good player. When Wigan signed under Lyndsey he must have got a high salary contract. Is he worth that? My answer is no. He does add a lot in defense but is not as good in second row as Fletcher was. He adds experience and is a good club man. I would keep him on a reduced contract but would not blame him if he left for more money elswhere. Bailey is not a star man like Barrett was, he gives 100% each week and loves the club. What Wigan need to do is get rid of average players like Mathers, Phelps and Smith. We also need to worry about the kind of salary of players such as Fielden who has not produced again this season. Give Riddell more time. Once the pitches harden up i think he will come good.

Him in the team will help Tomkins no end.
Agreed, Bailey has stabilised that right hand side, I've been one of his biggest critics but he has been flawless in both the Quins game and tonight. Playing for a new contract any chance?
