Hudgell took the opportunity to fleece FC fans for £7 each more than the going rate last season and chose to keep all the money. Hull FC are just adopting the same principle but donating the surplus to a charitable cause. Think yourself lucky. Compared to everyone else, FC fans paid a 70% premium to attend Craven Park - if you applied that premium at the KC you'd be looking at £34 a ticket.

It's not only Rovers fans that are paying it. FC have about 8000 passholders and a sellout would be 23000, leaving 15000 tickets to sell. Are you bringing 15000? Probably half that.

Don't have a problem with the extra quid for a good cause myself, but your wrong about the 70% surcharge and you know it, stop $hit stirring, our stated price for standing is what it is, the club opted to offer discounts for games where they thought it might attract extra support, with the derby they knew they did not have to employ such a strategy, its supply and demand. If you were selling TV's at £300 and there was two customers for every telly you would NOT give a discount, you would if you had a few hundred you couldn't sell though.

Which games does the "discount" not apply to then? Can't be Leeds as that's always one of the highest attendances. Oh, hang on, 2009 South Stand prices v Leeds, £10, South Stand prices v Wakefield £10. Would be good to get a list of the games in 2008 where the charge for the South Stand was £17 as you seem to be saying it would be for the vast majority. I'm not denying it's supply and demand, but I am saying it's 70% more than most clubs paid and all went straight to Rovers, yet Hull are being slated for charging a 5% premium and giving it to Children in Need.

But the price was always advertised at that price wasn't it? Part of this will have been due to increased costs as mentioned earlier, but I can't condone this tbh (ah well  ).

I think it's the way Hull have gone about it. They've said they are going to give to Children in Need, which is a good gesture, but now it looks like Hull KR are practically paying for this IMO. Perhaps I am looking at this from a different perspective....

Why should we not be given the choice to pay the extra pound ?

You're not mature enough to make those kind of big decisions for yourselves.
