The sort of one on one debate that every thread descends into is a major reason why I and people like me barely post anymore. Credible and interesting threads are warped and made frankly tedious.
Every one should feel free to say exactly what they feel. But in doing so, it wouldn't harm to occasionally step back and let the thread flow a bit.
