Riddell picked up an ankle injury in the training camp and missed one of our friendlies because of it, which may go some way to explaining the problem.

As mentioned earlier, he got injured in Pre season After the Hudds game but he missed the Leigh game.

He then played at Hull and got a bad knock on it in the opening 5 minutes and limped through the rest of the game as we had No bodies left late in the game.

To me he has looked a touch sharper/Better in each of the next couple of games and given a run of 10 games or so I am sure we will see the real Riddell.

As already mentioned, 3 years of Higham and a Handfull of Good games (Not Great Games just Good) wasnt good enough. Only time will tell wether Riddell will improve on that.
Too many people with views I respect that have seen a lot more of him than me seem to think he will be a Good un, that's good enough for me to give him 3-6 months.

if he is injured like people keep saying why is he playing when we have enough cover. Let him rest and get better then bring him back and see the best of him !

This is why I find it hard to believe he is injured. Infact I think if he were, we'd be playing Tommy and McC on the interchange.

He's either out there (for fitness, which he could achieve in the reserves, or cos Noble thinks he's the best we have at 9)

Twice as good as Higham? oh come on. Don't slap Micky in the face with that one. He's yet to prove he's better let alone TWICE as good.

Regardless, we want a top class hooker, right now I'd sooner has Diskin, and he's not the best 9 in the SL.

He still needs first team game time and is doing ok in my opinion ,if we rest him the most likely results will be a six page thread moaning about is fitness , O wait a min .

One word 'Reserves'.

And how many games have the reserves played so far .He needs first team not reserves .
