Lowes has worked as Smith's assistant before, so there is some logic in this decision. Smith is obviously happy to have Lowes working for him, and Lowes won't get anything better let's be honest. He will be learning from one of the best coaches in the league, and he would be stupid to blow this chance.
Last year he was working under Cullen, who did a decent job but never stepped up and won anything, now he is working under a succesful trophy winning coach.
