The TV deal HAS increased by a lot for this year, thought it was common knowledge? Not only has the number of clubs increased, but the amount per club has gone up. Figures I had read were something like £800k last year and over £1.1m this year.

that will help most clubs be able to spend the full salary cap making the competition more "competitive"

it will also help clubs like quins who struggle as it is to survive financially.

an extra 300,000 pounds is a hell of a lot of money.

lewis is really doing a good job

I refer you to previous threads on the subject where Starbug has explained at length how outrageous it is for the RFL to demand that clubs have to employ full-time CEOs and marketing managers to access this money

Doubt everything, even this

Please don't make me read them again - I promise not to make any more flippant remarks.

I refer to why would the RFL demand that clubs that already have f/t commercial and marketing staff employ yet more people to do the same job already being done to access this money

But then this is the RFL

Do the Quins have a full time CEO and marketing man yet ? , maybe they shouldn't get the 1.2 million until they have

Or maybe the Celtic Crusaders as well

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

One other question -

Do Super League clubs tend to make a lot over the course of a season?

Or do they just about break even?

A lot of football clubs are running in the red, so to speak, and don't ever seem to make anything in terms of profit.

Any ideas people.

Leeds make a profit , another 5/6 break even or thereabouts , the rest have people tipping in every year

Having said that this year with the extra should ' should ' see most break even

I suppose a lot depends on how much of the salary cap you spend etc.

I think Warrington in theory make a profit but on the shareholders sheets it says we're paying Simon Moran a loan back. I can't remember the details now but I saw it on last years documentation. We're in a healthy position anyway
