dont understand why union keep chasing em...a talent like sam tompkins is wasted in union.....just hope sam realises this and the draw of playing for wigan and playing alongside his brother keeps him here.

It would be a risk for the club at this stage of his career but surely we should offer him an extended contract if true to make sure we keep him.....i know its early doors but by the look of him hes the best thing to come through our academy since farrell or edwards....we lost both of them to yawnion....lets not hope sam goes the same way!

I heard this on GMR as well.

Kinsella seemed to rubbish it and he normally has his ear to the ground.

But, if it did happen, we are powerless to stop it, we can't compete with the money, but rest assured the rest of RL would bury its head in the sand and trot out the usual "its just one player" etc and that the SC is doing its job. Until 1/2 the salary of a player who has only played for your club in his career is introduced, the better.

This is a rumour the club need to speak out on.

Tomkins does not seem like a big enough player to play union
However i do think he could cut it as a union player
So im 50-50 whether this is true or not
If he goes he will be a big loss tho

Think it was a caller i think mate but couldnt be 100% sure....only half heard it and my ears twigged up when he mentioned sam.

Wat was worrying tho is that GMR seemed to give it some credence....usually they just laugh and rubbish it when its one of the normal rugby league loons (who i dont know why, but seems to be about 90% that call the show!!)

Very true he is not very big, but he has the skills to cut it in Union.

Would be a massive loss.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know
