still if you have a day out and get tanked up who cares? We do one every year on the first friday in May. Its the Garpax Challenge and we are in the 7th year of it. 11am to 11pm and its 14 pubs starting in Garforth and ending in Kippax. Its a good day. Also annually do the Huddersfield Line challenge. Now thats a nice one in summer

Cellar Bar, West Riding, etc? Which one's do you do West of Huddersfield?

cellar bar and west riding are my locals so im in safe hands. we start in manchester on a morning in where ever take are fancy near oxford road. then do piccadilly station, staylebridge (station), greenfield (railway hotel), marsden (tunnel end inn), slaithewaite (the swan), Huddersfield (station) then do marsden (navi), west riding, cellar bar, miners arms in morley (we miss the sphinx in cottingley) and back in leeds for scabby taps

I thought The Sphinx closed quite some years ago? Either way, I agree it's something best avoided.

As for them pubs, Miners is not far from me, not that I go in that often; Cellar Bar is an infrequent, yet appreciated, haunt; and The West Riding is the pub I'm in more than any other, so it's a small world, etc, etc.

The others in West Yorks I've not done, but it sounds like a good day out does that one, might have to give it a go at some point.

I prefer the X for sex, cost me £6 to get in last week, robbing gits.

The Hyde Park for a game of bar billiards

The Pack Horse and the Eldon for a pint or two of Tetleys "Light" Mild

Then up to the Headingley Bowling Club for a pint of Henry`s Dark Mild with top ups from the bar jug
