Like somebody else has stated, if he wasn't at Wigan, would you want him? No.

I'm glad you don't want him to be Jamie Peacock. Peacock doesn't make as many yards per carry as O'Carroll does.

People wouldn't want him because he doesn't catch the eye or have a reputation. Wigan has spent several seasons buying eyecatching players with reputations and ended up in the 5h1t, while ignoring the likes of O'Carroll. Enough said.

Glad someone talks some sense.

O'Carroll puts so much work in he deserves to be getting all the praise at the moment.

People have been saying we should be looking out for a player like Lynch who does the hard work for long spells. What do you think OCarroll does? IMO hes does the similar role just with less experience due to his age.

And where people have got the idea he gets knocked back from, they must be watching a different game. He always barges the first man back, that or gets stopped as he hits the line, I dont know of him being trown backwards as some are trying to make out.

I can see him being another Sean OLoughlin while at Wigan, just because he doesnt score X amount of tries, Break through every tackle he runs into, set up every try at any chance, he will be branded as "Average" because there are too many fans who dont appreciate the amount of variation that is needed from player styles within a team.

Spot on.

The thing that makes me laugh when people say he's not aggresive enough or big enough is that he's only a young kid and to even compare him overall to somebody like Peacock just isn't fair( but the facts are that when you do he doesn't do to badly for such a young lad).

I don't remember Peacock being the aggressive leader of men he is today when he was 21/22. Those qualitites come with age and experience and i'm sure O'Carroll will start to display more of them as the years go by.

I could be wrong but in the reserves when i've seen him he looks a good, aggresive leader and can play for the full 80 minutes. He'll be doing that for the first team in time.

I agree but you cant deny Lynch wouldnt be a great signing to replace someone like Coley.

People also forget props hit their best years from 27-30 and we have 2 young props already cutting it in super league and more, do the maths

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever

Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go

Yes I would. Hard-working and give 100% effort every match which is more than we can say for Fielden and Coley.

Lynch would be my personal top prop target for next year. If i were Wigan i'd be getting into his ear now about what sort of deal they could offer him.

A front row of Fielden, Lynch, Feka and O'Carroll would be very good imo with Prescott also pushing for a place.

Fielden will be on fire in 2010...............because he'll want a new contract.

And that would not surprise me at all, but would disappoint me . I really hope that wont be the case and if it is the club should look at giving shorter or rolling contracts .
