that is my favourite not for the foreground but the background as my grandparents used to live just off to the left down Victoria st and i remember climbing up and down the footbridge as a kid every sat when we went.

At the moment (as Fred says its a work in progress) it is a number of nostalgic stills of the ground being built as well as some other photos of I guess some of the people involved.

Also does anyone know the year the picture is from with Eddie Wareing on?
I am guessing 49/50 but if it was when the the ground was opened it would have to be 1947?

As he is on both the pictures Im assuming that it was a posed shot on the grand opening in 1947.
If anyone has anymore of the stadium being built and crowd shots from the years and if Mismash could send me a few of her demolishing photos
