Danny would have played last friday if the staff would have let him, and would be equally up for a striaght return but JK and the medical staff want to break him in slowly.

If Obst and Grix are out it must be tempting to put Brough on the bench, as insurance against Drew getting injured in the match and then having to play without a specialist half-back. He could then interchange with Drew for 10 minutes each half .

TBH if he says he's fit and he has already been given the green-light for a return in the reserves he's got to be somewhere near 100%.
If DB was up for it i'd start him with Davey (sp?) on the bench, we then have the option to rotate hooker (drew) with a half back to give danny some down time or take him off if need be.

I must admit I don't get it but then it may be a Kear mind game. It's as easy to get injured in an A team game as a first team game. Sure it's more intense but that isn't always what courses injuries. As for him being rusty I don't go for that with Brough. He is one of those naturally fit players who was born ready and with his self belief he will act as if he was never away.
I'd play him, I just think Brough is one of those who you will get away with.
