I saw the headline on teletext: 'Goulding to Coach France' and jokingly said to my son, "Bobby Goulding is to coach France."
"Whaaat!" he replied.
Thinking it must be some unknown Aussie I clicked to view the details.

I was surprised that Goulding has taken a national job with no coaching experience what so ever.

He has coached NL before.

It wasn't his lack of coaching experience I was concerned with.

I was stunned by this. Coaching Rochdale and Widnes St Maries is hardly ideal for coaching an international side!

Be interesting to see how he goes, but seriously was he the best candidate they had apply?
