I'd agree that I didn't see much wrong with the tackle by Watmough on Burrow, it was classic "big bloke tackles little bloke".

We didn't need this game to tell us we are miles behind them.

Aren't tackles above the shoulder illegal anymore?

Always had doubts about his pace and acceleration G1, and the problems he's had won't have made him any quicker.

As for his injury record, I think that speaks for itself.

Strikes me as a Jason Golden type of player. He'll do a job for someone, somewhere but it won't be at a top SL side. Hope he goes on to prove me wrong wherever he ends up but I can't see it.

Fair comment I s'pose. His lack of appearances lead me to believe that the coaching staff see it more your way than mine.

We dont tackle their fullback after the chip through and the VR rules offside...

Its all ifs buts and maybes. No arguement with Manly but they werent streets ahead of us and over the 80minutes the score refelcts a fair balance.

They added an extra gear straight after the restart for 5 - 6 minutes which we couldnt match.

Matt Orford's thoughts

Dunno if he's just being polite but he says some good things about us and SL generally.

Manly captain Matt Orford says the 28-20 victory over Leeds in the World Club Challenge was as "tough and intense" as any match he has played in

Interesting how that squares with your mate`s views.

Think I will stick with the current WWC winning team captain rather than a retired ex U8`s junior schoolboys champion.

Or maybe he's just being polite and gracious in victory and not biting the hand that has just fed his club a massive money spinner?

You should really try and form your own thoughts and opinions.

Personally, I think the truth lies somewhere between the comments in AP's blog and Orford's comments.

Has your thread containing the link just disappeared.

Shame that as I never did find out who Jamie Leon was supposed to be.
