The surgery, which will keep Byrne out for between six and eight months, could even spell the end of his career at Hull FC.

Very sad news - all the best Todd and a speedy recovery.

On a slightly different note - please Hull if someone comes off with what looks like a serious injury don't let them back on no matter how much they say they are "ok". ie Horne and Byrne.

Having done the same and gone back on the pitch, its hard to tell at the time if youve done anything, yeh you get a bit of swelling but its a very strange injury and just feels like a sprain you can run off tbh

Out for the season

Gutted for the lad. It looks like he has probably played his last game for us, so may I lead the way in wishing him all the best and speedy recovery.

Thought the lad put his heart and soul into the games he played for us.

It's a real shame for his Hull career to end like this, I hope he gets back playing back home next season. Gutted for him.

Poor Godd, hope this isn't the end of his career in RL. Best of luck to him with his operation etc.

I also confirmed Skinny was going home which the above article almost does.

Interesting to see on the article that he scored almost a try every 2 games in Oz, pretty good strike rate.

Feel really sorry for Todd, was not the most skillfully blessed payer but made up for that with his 100% comittment in whatever position he was asked to play, hope he makes a full recovery.

What about the article where Agar is directly quoted as saying that the Crocker situation is still unresolved?
