Based upon a brief World Cup outing (and let's face it, quite a few of the players making up the islanders and home nations squads are pretty ordinary), I don't see how so many can be so sure. The only fair way for the coaching staff to decide who gets first crack at it is to wait until they've at least seen him first hand in training alongside Maloney for a couple of weeks minimum and then hopefully academy outings (when does that start?).
A rare sensible statement, agree 100% there's a fair bit of assessment to be made here before 'throwing him to the lions' or Giants in this case.

This guy has not trained with a club side for weeks and weeks, he has been going to the gym on his own, he will take a few weeks to get up to speed in my book! talk of him playing this weekend is ridiculous and anyway there are others in the pecking order that we can call on For instance we would get a lot more out of Domimic Maloney because at least he is fit and knows all the drills!

Couldn`t agree more Wilf, let him get some training under his belt and let him play in the under 21`s, shouldn`t even be considered for the first team until Cas at home at the earliest.
