1. Last night showed what he was all about, storming out the line to pressure the kicker, elbowed perry in the face and when perry went for him he ran away. The "hard" props dont do such petty acts of violence, they do it by being hard but fair - steve price, asotasi, civonaceiva etc
yeah, like Gordon Tallis and Glenn Lazarus too, bloody angels they were
Quote:2. 3rd man in to tackles, unless its smaller players. Again compounding every fans opinion of him. I dont oftern see him live, but last night was a great example of it.
3. I played against him years ago, was all mouth, all talk, all ego and ended up getting sat on his a55, he hasnt changed and would be a nothing prop oif he wasnt at Leeds.
ahh, so thats why, it becomes clear now,
its ok, you were never good enough anyway, there is no need to be jealous, Bailey worked hard and got himself a career, good on him, bitterness will only eat you alive

Leeds Schools vs Hull Schools 1997 (i think). Our coach broke down after the game waited ours in a bad area of Leeds. Bailey was the tallest player on the pitch and the loudest. Couldnt back it up - believe what you like

I dont think Rugby League gets the praise it deserves and people like Bailey do nothing to attract outsiders to the game, Vella is a role model for kids to get into Rugby and to make this game grow
throwing a forearm into someones face is something we should teach the kids?

SmokeyTA wrote:whats wrong with being third man in? third man often changes a tackle to a dominant one
it takes much more time and effort to get a ptb with three men in the tackle, than with two plus they can be puched back and turned on their back, third man in makes a very important contribution,
its strange how people see bailey, last year he made more tackles, more marker tackles, missed fewer tackles, and bust more tackles than Kylie Lueluai as well as making half as many errors,
yet lueluai had a storming season and bailey is a nothing player, its wierd
almost as wierd as the fact Bailey and Senior play down the same side, apparently according to some fans Bailey and Senior, despite their impressive defensive statistics only make tackles as third man in, so i wonder who was making those tackles last year, Rob Burrow? Scott Donald? those defensive dynamos? Gareth Ellis who probably had his worst year in a leeds shirt last year and missed 46 tackles?
He always has been, normally behind Chev Walker and Dwayne Barker.

so your opinion of him was formed and set because he was loud as a 14 year old kid
fair enough

A unknown superstar wrote:Yet out of your main five props last season he made the least amount of metres, and even made more carries than Scruton and Burgess but still didn't make as many metres.
yet he made more tackles, missed fewer, made more carries, and bust more tackles than Scruton despite playing fewer games
he played the same amount of games as Burgess, made many more tackles, bust many more tackles, missed many fewer tackles, made half as many errors
