i think the difference between hobson this season to last is that hes taken the role of helping the young players and team in general and i think hes trying to cut the red mist out because he knows he is no good to them if he is sin binned or red carded and if he carries on playing like he as upto now i think this will be his best season for leigh

Noticed at the end of the London game he went straight to Meekin, slapped him on the back, and was demonstrating to him how to hold the ball, and a quick shuffle (either that or he was dancing ), and was still with him as they walked off.

he as taken meekin under his wing and is staying back after some trainig sessions and working on things with him and is always passing on his experience to him (meekin)

Hobbo should be doing 3x10 min stints as impact, but for that to happen we need C Hill, Morrison, Taylor and Armistead in the mix.
Hobson mysteriously gets cramp regulalry when its a goalline dropout, just watch.
firstly hobson was formally cautioned over the sending off at fev, yes he got no ban (thank god) but there was obviously something in his actions that needed to be looked at, hopfully hobbo and nk can sort it out, i too thought he did well yesterday, against a big aggresive pack in haven, if he can keep his cool then he can be a good member of the squad. i agree we need a bit more mungral in our pack.

I said this last week

Hobson was superb yesterday and despite his odd crazy moments there is no denying his experience which seems to help settle the team and helps us along. He certainly led by example yesterday and led the line well when on the field. Nothing daft just simple hard work.
As for Cookson, give him a couple of games in the reserves to prove his fitness and overall performance because at the moment Danny Meekin is streets ahead of him. Another who had a good solid game yesterday.
Hopefully Hobson can stick to playing the sort of game he played yesterday for the rest of the season.

Back for the start of the season I think.
As for Hobson I can only agree with what's been said on here. Took the ball in hard and pride and laid a very good platform which we took advantage of very well. He stayed calm in defence and tackled well and we missed him when he wasn't on.
Agree completely about Hobbo - excellent game yesterday, one of his best since he's been with us IMHO. Tough to choose between him & Higson for MOTM for me - thought they both worked really hard.

those two along with donlan outstanding for leigh yesyerday.
best moment donlon floated pass to ridyard when he realised he was never going to win the foot race with calvert.
wonder why no super league clubs have ever tried to maximise calverts speed. his defence must be really awful.
