There were other people involved of course but the people who were involved with the club made no difference what so ever in getting the stadium passed by the planners.
That was down to Hoyle and a few of his mates.
So what you originally said was wrong?
We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die The first ones in line for that pie-in-the-sky And we're always the last when the cream is shared out For the worker is working when the fat cat's about

Who were Hoyle's mates?

I know Wikipedia isn't the most reliable of sources all the time, but it was the top results of a Google search.

You mean he had so much influence over it the application it went to the risk and lottery of PUBLIC ENQUIRY?
Lord Hoyle steered the process but I guarantee that if the supporters had not shown so much will and demand for the stadium IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PASSED BECAUSE IT WAS AGAINST THE PLANNING LEGISLATION THAT WAS THEN IN PLACE.
If I could find the report I would quote the relevant points verbatim.
I still despair at the vast majority written i our forums, we make ourselves the laughing stock of super league with our reactions not what the club does.
This is still after 3 defeats this year against 3 very good and practically error free teams in their performances against us.
We're one of the best run super league teams with everything that we do. There is a fine line between winning and loosing and we just need to find the difference. People talk about bring in this coach or that coach, it's not as simple as pick a name and give him the job. Looking at our fans, there are probably not alot of coaches that would want the job.
Only one thing needs to change at Warrington and thats the culture that has been here for years. We all know what it is. Even karl Harrison comments on it in todays League weekly.
Don't boo the coach or the players or Moran and don't hope for us to get beat this week as some of you have. People sing wire till I die and then boo certain players or coaches when things don't go our way. The people hat make desicions about playing staff or coaching staff will make changes whether we want it or not and will do it as appropriate. We should be there to support the club through thick or thin and back the people who have to make the descions rather than continually slate them.
