a player of hobsons experience will pay divedens to the likes of danny meekin and john cookson among others who may need someone to guide them along the right lines to becoming a good pro player
it showed that we missed him in the pre season games
What s definately missing atm is someone who can offload up the middle atm we dont seem to be offloading hardly ever."Grunt" forwards are ok but we need someone who can break a tackle and offload, thats why I prefer Cooky with Hobbo and C Hill.

Me too Kath. Chris and Hobbo got through a lot of work yesterday. Does anyone know how long Mike Morrison is going to be out and what are his injuries? At least James Taylor can rest for a couple of weeks. I would like to see Cookie start against LM. Get his confidense back.

Sorry to derail the Hobson thread (who's performance I have already complimented on another thread) but whilst this has evolved to the subject of injuries, does anyone also know how long Armistead will be out for?

You can’t off load if no-ones there, that’s what let us down yesterday somewhat very little second phase, something that Durbin has done so well at in recent weeks.
Meekin, Morrison, Taylor, Armistead even Marsh would get a run at prop before Cookson for me.

Dear me. Two players that I had completely forgot about. Armistead and Marsh. Any newsw on them? Marshy is a big lad to try and stop with a decent kicking game.

Agreed Cookson seems to lack effort a lot of the time in comparison to our other forwards.

As I mentioned on here yesterday, I thought Hobson was absolutely magnificent. Certainly seems to have had a kick up the arris after the Fev debacle and he clearly agrees that it's the last chance saloon for him.
As for Cookson, he's falling back in the queue simply because of the quality performances of the other forwards.

NK got a subbinbg wrong for Hobson that resulted in a try, when we forced to drop out Hobson had gone down with cramp in the next set he was picked out and ran around for the try.
Hobbo should be doing 3x10 min stints as impact, but for that to happen we need C Hill, Morrison, Taylor and Armistead in the mix.
