Both defence and in-play kicking game have improved an awful lot

Your thoughts?

Wouldn't really call 1 point from 2 home games a sign of good defence.

Five tries conceded in 160 minutes is not so bad.

It is when you only muster three at the other end.

We've tended to dominate possession in both games yet contrived to lose. We've yet to see our defence really tested for long periods.

Has the kicking game been that good really?

The one positive this season is that discipline has improved a lot. We're giving away fewer penalties so that's at least a start.

Agree with that. Defence higher up the pitch has been good - forcing errors, dominating in the tackle. Goal line defence (as a team) has been ok but with individual errors costing us.

Deacon's tactical kicking for position has been good. His attacking kicking (although not used much - tactic?) has not been so good. Jefferies kicking generally has been patchy. Newton has kicked very little but seemed to be ok.

I'd definitely agree the defence has improved, but I really can't see where you get the idea that the kicking game is much better.

If we have had total territorial and possessional domination in two games and a good attacking kicking game, we would have four competition points, not one!

Never liked Kevin Costner, or any other Robbing Hood!!!!
