Fair comment - I just think we'd have crashed out of Super League in 2006 had Lowes become coach. Might've been a more suitable environment for him to learn the trade in the lower leagues though...
2006
Beat Cas twice, beat Catalans at Home and the Bulls away. Not that much of an acheivement really. The team we had then was good and under acheived and i am not having a go here.
2007
Disappointing as Wembley should have been acheived given the draw and a top 6 finish was quashed with a poor run of games.
2008 as been a big surprise to everyone as 4 weeks ago some people were calling for Kear to be sacked and the club were terrible etc. Lets not get ahead of ourselves and like Blaymire said one game at a time. We are doing well but so are a few other teams Leeds, Cas, Hull, Hull KR and Giants

Like i said you are talking the brown stuff, yes the team did under achieve, but do you not think that that run in was not something special? You do not have a clu and like i said your opinion is worthless. You will find it very hard i feel to get anyone agree that the end of the 2006 season was nothing short of a miracle.

Your post loses some validity through having missed an entire year!!
2006 - OK
2007 - your description is of 2008.
2008 - ???? Look at a calender man!
Also, bear in mind the changes in club personnel - especially the amount of GB players.
Big time improvement - at every level of the club!

I think you are grossly undersetimating the task at hand when JK took charge in 06.
To take an admittedly tallented squad who had been poorly coached for 12 months, who had been written off as certainties for relegation, had little or zero confidence, were in the habit of losing amongst many other poor habits . . . . .
To turn all of that around in the time he did was a magnificent achievement
from that point forward he has improved us no end from top to bottom.
I've got more respect for Jimmy Lowes than i have fans who taunt a man who is clearly struggling to hold onto his job.....i think you've got to be pretty sad to do that and think it's funny.......Personally i can't understand why that would be preferable to cheering on a great performance by the lads.....
Anyways Wire have only just started the season - give him a break....Hull fans wanted rid of Kear because he had an indifferent start to the season a couple of years ago...20+ rounds to go????

What about the complete overhaul of the academy and coaching team? John Kear has brought alot more to Wakefield than a couple of wins here and there.
