Thought the game was pretty terrible today - I have said it before, I honestly think that the standard in the Championship (National League) has gone down hill. Or maybe it is the lack of skill and flair from the Leigh team for the last couple of years - I'd give anything for the Terzis/Millward era when we played with style and had far better quality.

Clearly the budget is a lot less this year and previou years but IMHO we urgently need a quality half back and a quality experienced prop.

Thought we srtruggled against a big aggressive Whitehaven side - however was that challenge on Donlan late, deliberate and serious foul play? Wish they would change the rules - fed up of incidents like that being put on report - unless I didnt properly see it?

Ridyard was targeted in defence, they broke at ease down his side - and bombed a couple of golden chances. For me he has to defend outside the winger.

Higson was quality.

Ridyard, Watson and Jock - very poor today, balls going to ground, lack of creativity and organisation.

I hope we get it together for the next home game.

Attendance of 1700, be interesting to see how the attendances go for the league games - for me there seems to be a lack of kids considering the great current offer - I hope crowds pick up - and that Leigh address this issue.

Also it is clear to everyone that we lack creativity at half back, the club are aware of it and i'm sure that NK is too. I just hope we improve or sign another decent player.

Role on better rugby!

attendances? oh they "fans" will have some excuse or other not to turn up

thought Jock had a poor first half but made up for it in the 2nd half with a try when it was needed :D

You need to increase the crowds or that stadiums rent will prove to much, whats the figure to break even?

Love a brew.

I agree that we weren't that good today, but we won and we WILL play better rugby than that. This team is still developing and I have every faith in it. That faith makes me drive from Bramhall for home games and to some away games. I wish more people who still live in Leigh feel the same but only results will change their minds.

We are crippled with injuries and had no pack today yet won an awful game.
What has Rudd done to upset NK?
The stadium is like a morgue and that crowd was a lot more than 1800.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Snap, we were missing 8 today through one thing or another, and we only played well for about 25 mins.

This playing crap and gathering injuries is infectious!

Love a brew.
