So was it aimed or fortunate like the BBC suggest?
Personally I think he knew exactly what he was doing and if so, what a try, it utterly bamboozled a very strong and organised Catalans defence.

Completely meant, although i suppose you can never be certain that the ball will bounce right for you, but he definitely aimed for the post.

He was either aiming for the post or completely miss hit the kick as it would have been long over the dead ball line before anyone could get near it. It's a fairly regular ploy for kickers anyway. deacon used to practice trying to hit the posts from kick offs

i thought he meant it, cos it was too powerful and would have just gone dead.
he had one of his best games in a Hull shirt on friday IMO he used his quick turn of pace a lot more than we've seen so far.
