The defense was reasonably solid today and certainly an improvement on previous weeks. Our goal line defense, barring one occassion, was improved in particular by a large margin. Not perfect by a long way but certainly better than previous weeks. I don't like the '3 steps forward and hold' defense as I have posted elsewhere but we seemed to abandon this in the second half. Whether this was due to the players taking it into their own hands or Noble finally realising it doesn't work I don't know, but as long as we defend with the enthusiasm we did in the 2nd half and continue to improve week on week as we did this week from last I'll enjoy my rugby.
Moving along to the point I was actually making. This weekend we've seen losses for Saints, Bradford and Warrington...alll against 'lesser' opposition while Wigan go away to Harlequins, traditionally a tough assignment for us, and come away with a win. After the doom and gloom of recent weeks I expected to come on here and actually see some positive, maybe even celebratory (
) posts on here. Of course I should have known better. Some Wigan fans couldn't enjoy a free night in a brothel!
The defense is at sea mate, against Saints or Leeds we would leak 40+ points as we have done last season under the same structures and it still hasnt been sorted..whos fault..BN,,IL..Defense not only wins you matches it also wins you finals as me and you know..sort the defense and the rest will follow.
