I just scoured the messages from last night and today but couldnt see an obvious one. What did everyone make of Tommy Lee's performance. To me it looked the most confident I have seen him play in ages. Looked like a weight of his shoulders and was prepared to try anything and actually really wanted the ball.
I dont claim to be the most knowledgeable about rugby but when he came on how did we shift things around with Horne and Thorman? Did Lee play 13ish?
apart from knocking on and allowing catalans to score at the end, i thought tommy did very well, looks like agar has found the right position for him in the forwards
To be totally honest with you all, I am not Tommy's biggest fan at all and dread it when I see him in our starting 17. But he suprised me a little last night and played okay. Shame he let Catalans in for their 2nd try but apart from that looked ok. Seems to have bulked up a little and was not affraid to go in for tackles when needed to.
It did seem to suit him though to play in the forwards!! Let's hope he buckles down and shows us all what he is capable of.

Thats a very good description of how i saw it too, put some nice passes in and wasnt afraid to have a run at the line
I thought Lee did well last night, he got his head down and took the ball in well. However I still wouldnt like to see him in our 17 at the expense of Washbrook/Hall/Houghton though.

I think thats the point though - he looks like he is more confident trying to win a place than loosing one..

Loose man seems to be his position, looked confident as other posters have said, a big weight off his shoulders. Didnt seem to be under pressure knowing the team had 2 halfbacks plus berro/houghton around him so he didnt have to guide the team around the park.

During his first spell I thought he was our best player. His sharpness, speed and accuracy of passing allowed the team to work much wider without being closed down by what can be a pretty quick line and he controlled things well. Probably the most vocal player as well, with him standing behind the plays he wasn't involved and directing the team around. He carried the ball fairly strongly as well and, as ever, his defence was spot on.

Is it just me or did we not score a try when he was on the field?
