Disregarding my first post, for some reason the last 3 weeks debacles have been brushed to one side in my mind and I woke up this morning feeling that we'd win and win quite well. I've little to back this up except I think he'll have to throw Tomkins in and the enthusiasm of him, Ainscough etc has got to begin to rub off on the plodders. Thoughts?

I really do think we'll win today, no idea why i'm so confident about it though.

perhaps we're all thinking (or wishing, perhaps) that Saints and Wire's losses might spur the players on, even if the fans' dissatisfaction doesn't.
Slightly deeper, though, I couldn't understand a lot of the criticism from last week. We played some good rugby in parts, threw the ball about, and did plenty offloads. It was our defence that let us down.

Ditto, i felt we played better than we had done in previous games (although being a category 3 fan i hadn't been to hull so can't comment on that performance). Would have won if we'd kicked those goals

I'd agree with you on that, it was a marked improvement in attack although there's still a way to go. End of the day 2 kicks go over and they'd have gone on to win and been clapped off by the booers. I honestly hope they've been hitting tackling shields until they vomit this week though.

Yes, but we didn't, and we lost. We can moan about goalkicks all we want, but the fact is, we let in too many points ourselves, through sloppy defending.
And that's most unlike a Brian Noble side.

True, but the point i was making is that our attack wasn't as bad as people were making out because we did score the tries. Ok so the attack at times was clueless and defense was shocking but it wasn't all bad, there were small positives
