Im sure the first person he would bin off is Briers. IMO we should pay his contract up and get rid now.
As for sacking Monaghan and King thats just silly talk. Lets see what they do with a proper coach in place.
Agreed 100%
The only changes i would make would be to get rid of Lowes and Halmshaw, bring in someone with 1st class experience. I would like to see how Wright goes as an assistant, he is very highly regarded by most in the business.
United Road, take me home

Wasn't Lowes highly regarded when he was an assistant...?
If, and it's a big if, they did get Hanley in, I can't see that he'd want Briers to work in a team of his - wasn't there a bit of standoffishness when the two met out in France when Hanley was a guest of Simon Moran? Second hand info from someone who was sat drinking with them, but I heard that Hanley was unimpressed with Briers behaviour. Mind you, he was probably the only sober Englishman in the centre de ville at that point in time so can't imagine El got a great deal of sense out of anyone...

And there lies why there may have been a mutual dislike??...
One was sober, relaxed, restrained and calm. The other was boozed up, loud and in his face. On particular night in question. Chalk and cheese.

I must admit, my own personal dislike of Briers stems from the fact the guy is so far up his own backside with his own importance, and yet he is actually a very average player.
Oh, so he has won many a game for the Wire, his followers will claim....Yes, well his pi$$poor defence has cost us just as many...
Once more last night, I spent most of the time in complete shock that a fellow who quite simply has no clue how to tackle, can somehow make it in the world of Rugby League...

To be fair, when his stats came up last night, after about 60 mins, he had made 11 tackles, don't know what his finally tally was.
Briers is like marmite, rarely has a player divided opinion amongst their own fans. I think a lot of this comes from alleged past incidents, some of which will no doubt be true and others BS.
I can never accept that he doesn't care about the club and hasn't given his all throughout his time - something which deserves respect even if everything he's done hasn't come off.
