Warrington coach James Lowes:

"I thought we made big strides. At the top end of the field we contained them quite well, it was good defensively.

"What let us down a little bit were one or two poor penalties and, even then, in the first half we defended five sets on the line.

"But I'm real positive about what we can do and I still believe in what we can do. We're creating stuff so there's plenty to take out of it. The guys were enthusiastic right to the end and they played their hearts out this week."

Sorry Jimmy but you were completely battered (didn't see it myself but have gotten reports from people I know who know the game) by a side with loads of injuries who lost two more during the game. You got totally slotted and are conceding more points with every passing game. Good defensively? Hang on, 48 conceded is good? The survey said...

You have to credit Wakey for their performance. Kear has the nack of getting a side in adversity to front up, especially early in a season. His backs to the walls, a4seholes and earholes speeches must be paint peeling stuff.

i blame the SKY team for wire's form - year after year they big them up too much and there is too much expectation on them

Warrington were a shambles. Wakefield played their hearts out. Brad Drew ran the show.

Possible also that with Brough, Rooney etc out then there aren't too many cooks spoiling the broth and Brad is able to marshall the side.
