Thing is, with the exception of a handful, the players are all different from a few years ago. So is it the small band of the same players (Briers, Bridge, Wood, Gleeson etc) that are the problem, or something much deeper?
We need a coach which will motivate the team and not be in it for the money. We need a coach who will be sitting with his players all the match and on the touch line barking out orders.
Not Lowes who was in the stands with his head in his hands all match. Lowes is a disgrace bvut we wont get rid of Lowes because the Wsrrington board have not gpt the balls to get rid

I hope tonights match would change their minds, then again maybe it won't and be totally oblivious to it.

Personally I cant wait till 2009 is over and alot of these drunkards are out of contract and dispatched elsewhere.
Hanley is needed and needed fast, he will sort the wheat from the chaff.
Show no mercy Ellery lad.
Exactly right, sorry but you will never do anything while Briers is there,he is your over-rated (by a small minority now),word removed bad apple. He needs to go back to football where all his diving and other antics are common place.
This will be our year......................................................Hopefully! But maybe not with child running amock.

As an outsider looking in, I have to agree about the players in terms of being to blame.
The truth is that the so-called big names are no where near as good as the hype would suggest (examples Briers, Monaghan, King & Vinnie Anderson) and the youngsters are simply not yet up to it at SL level (examples Riley, Penny, Blythe).
You hint a drinks culture. Not the first time I've heard this in terms of Warrington. If there is something in that then perhaps appointing from within wasn't the answer.
Either way it looks like a real uphill battle. Having seen the last two matches on SKY, it's a battle the players don't look to have the stomach for whether they are alleged to have the quality or not!

I'm glad someone finally mentioned Vinnie Anderson, the bloke hasn't had a good game in 5 years.

I'm very upset after tonight's result. It was nothing short of shambolic, and it upsets me that we put our hope for these lads to fulfill our dreams. But James Lowes' press conference afterwards is breathtaking. How he can be positive after that, after our start to the season, I don't know.
I actually feel he's taking the p'iss, I seriously can't take him seriously, I just can't understand why he would say that. I'm sick and tired of his negativity, his contradictions and his completely arrogant persona he has to him, it's hard enough being a fan and seeing the players perform like that, having a manager who's just as uninspiring as those lads is deeply upsetting. I'm truly shocked after that.

I couldn't agree more. I actually (This will sound daft) feel very angry that he's ruining something that I love very much. It goes beyond what happens on the field during the 80 mins, I actually feel as the face of the club, he's wrecking then whole damn thing somehow.
