WOW!
Was that really my club?
I have been priviledged to be at the most professional presentation that I have been to, and it was put on by Wakefield Trinity or, to be more precise, by the Wildcats Community Trust.
For reasons I'll not go into here, I missed much of Jayne Macdonalds interview (by Chairman of the Trust David Oxley), but I saw enough to know that she is proud of where she comes from and is genuine in her wishes to see the City improve.
And so are the Trust. Led by James Elston, we have an organisation which has so much to be proud of and, more importantly, one which has the ability to deliver fitter, better educated children with improved social skills and social conscience. Also, it is channelled through Wakefield's premier Sporting Organisation - our club.
Whilst there is no substitute for being there, it should be possible to get hold of the DVD that was presented to the audience, of politicians, sponsors and other business and notable people. The DVD is a very slick production - way better than anything the club has previously been able to produce / afford, and gives a great insight into what they are trying to achieve.
All we need now is a win tonight to cap off a great day to be a Wildcat!

Very professional presentation and its clear that the Trust is doing some excellent work much of which I guess the majority of the citizens of this great City (me included until today) are unaware of. We certainly need to make more people aware of this great work.
The Trust will be involved with the new stadium and I believe it will open many doors inculding I hope access to funding. Excellent work by James Elston, Davide Longo and their team - stand up and take a bow.
After today it can be seen how far this Club had come and how far it can and will go. Not like me but I feel so confident about our future and our prospects for a new COMMUNITY STADIUM.
The futures bright, the futures RED, WHITE & BLUE - not just for us Wakefield fans but for the community and youth of Wakefield.

Right then who's going to buy some Community Trust Tickets off me tonight
The money we receive from the sale of tickets go's straight into the Community Trust Fund & people get the chance to win ££ & a four course meal for 2.
If we can get more fans aware of the great work the Community Team are doing then hopefully fans will contribute more an especially when there's chance of winning something .

Did you see Sir Rodney?

I love this city, this is my town. We get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud. i love my city this is my town, we get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud

If it's so ground breaking why are we not pushing it?
