Quality not quantity


I don't think anyone has ever disputed that Hull KR have a large travelling fanbase but the way some on here blow it up you would think they were single handily selling out every ground they visit - which is why people take the piss!

Of course it does. Any club would rather have fans that don't kick the shit out of eachother and make themselves look like idiots.... Or maybe that's not how things roll over that side of the hills.

The thing is, though, some (lots?) of your fans on these boards ask for the michael to be extracted. There only has to be the insiest, winsiest mention of away support on some obscure post in an obscure thread in the remotest corner of RLFANS and whooosh! a Hull KR fan suddenly appears with umpteen questions about fan numbers, how many more fans Hull takes to the North Pole for a Friday night kick off in deepest January and how everyone else's fan base is basically rubbish by comparison (and now we have to thank you guys for it!).

I think both Hull teams bring a huge number of fans to Knowsley Road given that they live bloody miles away and usually the games are on a Friday night so not the best time to be travelling. I just wish you guys would be more modest about it! You may not have the pi$$ taken out of you quite so often if you were!

(And I disagree that we should thank you for your numbers, but we do appreciate them, not least because they help create a good atmosphere. I would hope you guys turn out because you love your team, not so we can all worship you for it!)

Just looking for a good support 11k+ would be very good. Also a good bit of banter will be nice

Based on the unexpectedly high turnout against the Wolfs (17,009).
And our 'massive' away following (2500+) contributing to a 11,300+ crowd at the Girlyfarm last Sunday.
And the huge number of additional Junior season ticket holders.
And the 'world renowned' away support from HKR, whose coaches will be clogging up Preccy Road for hours before kick off (Will there be a return of Humberside's Finest with their camcorders?).
I reckon the crowd will be in the order of 12,500 to 13,000.
Get there early to avoid disappointment.
