At least with the TV cameras and video ref in use both sides have got a bit of insurance.
He has certainly taken over from Klein as the worst ref in the comp.
Agreed. He seems to get obsessed with punishing only one team for a particular offence, whilst seemingly ignoring the other sides transgressions of the same offence. This lack of consistency in applying the rules equally to both sides is very frustrating to players and fans alike.
Last Friday he pedantically kept penalising Leeds for being off-side (which was no worse than all sides do) whilst misssing KR doing the same. I've also seen him become obsessive about hands-in at the play-the-ball and also not standing square. Wakey have certainly been the recipient of these clean-up crusades at times.
He's are mate now.
