Good win, no complaints, just hope we finish the job off now. What did Rafa say in his post-match interview? I missed it...
I thought Mascherano was pretty poor in the first half but improved after the break. Alonso had a good game though. Was doing the text commentary for this game tonight in work and mentioned that if anyone was going to get a goal it would be Benayoun, he stood out massively tonight, super performance all-round. Thought Carra and Arbeloa had good games too. These games suit Kuyt perfectly by the way, good showing from him.
Benitez's interview was what you'd expect, mentioned some contact between him and the owners I think, thats about it.

Masch has looked nackered all year, I can understand why Benitez didn't want him to go to Beijing. He just seems to have lost some of that 'intensity', last year, at times, I felt like he carried Alonso who never quite looked sharp, but this year it's swapped around, Xabi's upped his game whilst Masch looks fatigued. I thought he was good tonight, supported the defence very well, and kept his passing tidy, I can't recall him giving it away.
Disappointed with the Torres injury, it was a shame he took the knock just after he had a good chance, I thought he'd come alive after that but the injury put him out of the game, literally.
Another good performance from Fabio, he's done this so many times since he's been at the club, started to get a run of games and he's proven himself to be very good, but injuries have always held him back. Hopefully Rafa brings Insua back in, him and Fabio rotating at left back is very good, in my opinion.
I could go on and on, but I feel Martin Skrtel continues to justify why Agger hasn't played as much as he'd like, he's now much more composed and he's our best defender I think.

I'm glad to say I was totally wrong about tonight's game. I feared for Liverpool and once again they shock everybody and walk away with a stunning European victory!!
Interesting that Liverpool had twice as many Spaniards starting then Real had
