Lowes obviously wasn't happy with how he performed as 18th man last week, so he's been dropped from the 19 this time around. Maybe he should have sat in the stands looking like a manic depressive stoner, to fit in with the boss.
Briers 6, Monaghan 7, Clarke 9, Higham 14 are the correct positions. Briers has always had a utility value and can stay in the centres until Lowes sees sense and brings Penny back. In fact, Bridge and Penny might be ok on the left.

It's fairly obvious Monaghan is not a half back, but he is a hooker who was instrumental in Manly reaching the 2007 grand final. Should Lowes give him a go in his natural position?
