The season starts in October. Until then, don't panic!

Is this the benchmark for a 5 game ban?

There's gonna be plenty of 2 or 3 game bans dished out by the RFL then.......................unless the new rules implemented by the RFL at the start of the new season, get forgotten about after a month or so

I've still to see it (thanks Beeb!) so I can't comment on how deserved it was.

Leeds Rhinos? 8 for you, Leeds Rhinos! You go, Leeds Rhinos.

And none for Castleford Tigers. Bye!

Pre watershed, too violent for daytime viewing.

I can't understand the Beeb though, they usually love showing incidents that hold the game in a dim light.

At least it was on the ball carrier.

It just highlights the incompetence/tolerance of the NRL's 3rd best official.

One match for Fakir as well in the same match. Westwood's didn't appear five times worse to me.

SLTV on the Super League website can help you out there.

I think the immediate verbals to the victim might have influenced the length of the ban. It did seem to suggest that there was clear intent involved. Of course only Westwood himself will know whether that's true, but it won't have looked good in court, so to speak.

Not a direct one just now, but go to www.superleague.co.uk, click on "video" then on "SLTV" then go to the match on the Week 3 highlights.

The most deserved ban in rugby league IMO. Westwood showed no remorse after that tackle and I hope he uses this time to take a look at himself.
