Whilst it's a betting thread i've just been looking at the entries for Cheltenham in two weeks.
I've already talked about Ashley Brook in the Queen Mother. Master Minded is obviously the one to beat, especially with it likely to be Good-soft by then. AB is still around the 60 mark, is around 9lb better off and also carrying less than the likes of Well Chief and Big Zeb, but if Master Minded gets withdrawn, which is still a strong possibility, then they will drop drastically. But if Nicholls runs Master Minded, definitly get on Ashley Brook e/w.
Voy Por Ustedes is the clear favourite for the RyanAir Chase, but I personally think that this race could be a grade 1 too far for him, and I think the going will benefit Our Vic and Tidal Bay a lot more than Voy. Also, if Jon-Jo keeps Exotic Dancer in then he is a strong outside possibility to return to winning ways. I would plump on Exotic Dancer for a surprise win.
Onto the main event, the Gold Cup. Going to be a very exciting battle between Kauto Star and Denman. Kauto didn't start well in this fixture last year but managed to hold on for 2nd, behind Denman. The weights won't matter to Kauto, even though Denman has only had the one run out since the race last year, Kauto Star is a class above.

Why would Ashley Brook improve at the age of 11?and why is it a strong possibilty that Master Minded will miss the QM?
Exotic Dancer runs in the gold cup.

He doesn't need to improve, he just needs to run to his form, which he has been in training. If he runs to his ability, ground should be g-s, suits him, he will run a very good race and has every chance of winning it.

That has come from the Nicholls camp over the weekend, MM will be hard to beat if he runs, hence Ashley Brook as a definite e/w option if he does run

Hence why I put him to win if he runs in the Ryan Air Chase. I've just got a feeling he'll put in this, hence getting the money on now. I have my likely winners listed if he does run the Gold Cup.

As the previous poster has asked why is it Masterminded is going to be withdrawn, ive heard nothing to support this, whilst having connections to the nicholls stable he is a banker if ive ever seen one however at 1/3 its no price for me unless youre so sure on him not running then can i take evens with you on BF
Ok, next "a grade 1 to far for him" did u see his last run he won it at a canter and has come out of it very well, iirc he's the only horse to have beaten MM and he will excel here, our vic needs good ground and as you mentioned in your AB comments its likely to gd-sf then clearly this will not suit and am pretty sure he will go for WH, as for tidal bay he has not jumpred well at all, and even though he likes cheltenham it wasnt the strongest renewal of the arkle he won last year and see vpu as a likely winner
And finally, youre comments re gold cup are imho clearly wrong, kauto didnt start well, the pace set by denman was too furious that kauto star had to rush his jumps (which he clearly isnt the best at) and travel further, and denman clearly made it a test of stamina on ground that was on the soft side (kauto star dosent imo fully get the gold cup trip on soft-ish ground. Denman has only had one race this year, and a very dissapointing one at that and the noises coming out of the stable are not good at all, as for Kauto star being a class above i dont think you can say that as denman fairly bet ks in last years gc, aswell as winning hennesey on massive weights (i was there at gc and couldnt believe it) ks just held onto 2nd from neputne collognes who is not a consistent sort. alberta's run e/w for me
