Something needs to be done about the right side of defence.

Goulding & Tim Smith playing together

Although I have been Hyper critical of Goulding in the past regarding his defence I do feel a little sorry for him at present due to the Smith Factor.

SMith may as well hold a sign up saying "This way Please" at the moment.

I thanked him and went on my Merry way!

The missing link last week was Phil Bailey, he defends in that channel. He will be back Saturday.

Exactly, the overpaid Australian second row (according to the experts on here), who when doesn't play Wigan ship in a shedful of points.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

You know how much stick your going to take for that one from some on here!

He would be in my team every week AND he would have been used at Centre a Lot more over the last 12 months especially against certain teams who attacj channels well i.e Saints/Warrington/HKR.

My main concern is that he then gets caught trying to do 2 x jobs because of Smith.

PS

Surely Hansen HAS TO START????

But could Hansen not do the same job if given the chance to start a match?

Last year i would have agreed with you this year he seems to have lost his quality in this area too.

He like the rest of our team is scared stiff by pace, the tactic of allowing our opposition to run at us does not help him in my opinion and makes him look worse than he is. Hopefully this week will see us throw this ridiculous tactic out and see him back to shoring up the right side defence, if it does not, i expect much the same as we saw against Wakefield who made 2 crucial breaks round Bailey and who in truth could and should have put 20 on us by halftime but for some loose first game of the season errors.

Had they played like they played vs Salford they would have put 30 on us.

Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.

Bailey will be back as will Richards says Noble!
I'd go with Richards, Roberts, Goulding, Carmont, Ainscough in the backs.
Smith & TL halves, Forwards, Fielden, Riddell, Coley, Bailey, Hansen, Lockers. bench. Feka, O'Carroll, J Tomkins, Prescott.
I reckon Mcmac will be suspended, hope not but fear he maybe.
Don't think Hock will make it either.
Hock took a real knock before he went off. When he warmed up for his return he was running freely and the physio appeared to ask him if he was ok and he nodded as if to say yeh, fine! One tackle then gone.
For me he's got to do contact in training before they consider him v Quins.
