The signal kept breaking up, but I thought he said something about spending a lot of money to get there, implying that he was actually at the match.

We were on the motorway near Leeds when he was on, he couldn't have got home before 6 if he stayed to the end.

I think I was approaching the motorway when he came on. The signal was a bit shaky, so I didn't pick up everything he was saying. It sounded like he was having a real moan, though, and saying we wouldn't win an away game all season.
