Leaving Danny to one side for now, silly boy :)

Hall showed enough in the Leeds friendly for me that he could do very well at fullback, he took some tough kicks and made great yardage on his kick returns. He only got called upon to make one tackle and did so fine.

I actually think if he has to play there to cover Byrne/Motu then he will present RA with a big headache as I think he will do very well in that position.

Big Dave T wrote:Probably did. Looks like a rather short sighted conversation though if it did. The conversation should have gone along the lines of 'how do we keep our direction/leadership around the pitch in the halves and still cover FB'

The decision then would have made itself.

My guess is that conversation may have taken place had Byrne been out for the match. As a short-term fix while he was assessed the Thorman option was the obvious one.

Not to me, my first thought was Horne to FB and Washbrook to SO. That way the halves have the same balance.

My first thought was Thorman as he has actually had some recent experience in the position and because Horne is the better half.

EDIT: Actually that's not true. My first thought was "I wish we had Hall in the squad."

Thorman is a better organiser and his experiences at fullback are largely bad ones :P :)

Jesus....its a no brainer....Hall to cover at F/B for that match.....cats have a big pack and Hall running at them will tire them out.
