Tonights mail was hinting at Thorman, surely not he's got to stay in the halves building the combination with Horne. Hall should get the call IMO, I think his link up play would be a feature, is good under a high ball, hopefully our defence wont be broken too much exposing him.

Hall has got to be the best option if Byrne is out. Just think what the kid must think he has to do if he can't get in when Byrne and Tony are out and that they'd even split up our half back pairing just so one of them can play at fb.

Gotta be Hall. It would send out all the wrong signals if he was overlooked this week as well as it being completely the wrong decision.

Motto of the week -

It is the way of the weak to secretly bleat to those in authority rather than fight their own battles.

Totally agree. Hall is a much more natural FB than Thorman anyway and we need to keep Thorman paired up with Horne so if Todd & Motu are not available we have Hall who is more than capable to step in.
Moving Thorman (or Horne) would make us weaker and leave us rudderless in the middle of the park again.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Hall for me too.

What would be the point in trying the lad out at fullback in the pre-season games, only to move our scrum half there when an injury struck.

If Thorman was put at fullback, who would go into the halfs? Washy?

Thorman was brought in to play alongside Horne, so moving him to FB would be a monumental error for me.
If Byrne is not fit then stick Hall there, really is no other option for me.

If there is any doubt, give him a week off.
Your knee just doesn't 'feel as though it popped' for no reason, rest it.
